tomorrow”
Friends,
This year's mission statement for Camp del Corazon – “Everything
we do today at camp changes a child’s life tomorrow” –
communicates our philosophy and illustrates the clear and
focused direction our executive director is leading us toward.
As we pass through the 13th-year milestone and enter into the
2007 year filled with new and
exciting changes,
we believe that there is a growing population of
children that needs more than just camp, they also need
the educational resources and support that will help them now
and in the future.
Our strategic plan specifically targets programs, partnerships,
new initiatives and advocacy efforts that systematically helps
us achieve our goal to make camp available to 600 new children
by the year 2010.
Therefore, we are now looking for new
funding sources to acquire a permanent site to make this
opportunity available to many more children year round. This
site will provide a valuable resource and an asset to all
involved. We appreciate the long-standing and new relationships
we continue to establish with our supporters and volunteers. All
of their contributions play a pivotal role in our effort to
reach our goal. “To make this camp available to all that would
benefit from it.”
To that end, I want to personally
thank each and everyone who support who we are, and work
toward making this goal a reality.
