Staff Volunteer Info
We are always looking for enthusiastic
volunteers who are willing to invest their time, energy and
love for the children in our program.
Below you will find general information about camp and the
volunteer process:
Each camp session is a 5-day recreational overnight program
for children ages 7-17 with congenital heart disease. New
counselors must attend a staff interview day, and all
counselors must attend both the mandatory staff day and a
complete camp session.

- Mammoth Camp
(8 - 12 year old) March 7th - 10th 2008
- Malibu Camp (ages 7-17)
- Session 1: June 18th - 22nd

- Catalina Camps
- Session 3: Junior Camp (ages 7-12/13) August 25th, 2007 to August 29th, 2008
- Session 4: Teen Camp (ages 13-17) August 29th, 2008 to September 2nd, 2008
Minimum Staff Requirements
- Volunteer Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
- A mandatory all-day Staff Training Day will be held on the weekend before the camp session.
- All new applicants must attend a group interview.
- All required forms must be returned prior to staff interview day.
- Volunteers who are interested in supervising activities on the waterfront must have current lifeguard certifications by the start of camp. Training and certification will be offered by Camp del Corazon Dates to be determined.
- Members of the Climbing Wall Team must attend the certification classes by Camp del Corazon Dates to be determined.
- Med Nurse volunteers must have a current California License for more information contact the office.
